China Mobile (CMCC) Broadband
Had a China Telecom broadband line (¥1680/100M/year) expire this month, so I switched to China Mobile 300M—only 1/3 the price. Telecom really makes users suffer with high prices. Haven’t noticed any mobile network hiccups so far~
After inquiring and comparing plans (applicable for 2025 Guangzhou Mobile), here’s the breakdown:
-
Combined Bundle
- 300M, minimum spend ¥58 (can combine up to 3 numbers to hit ¥28). Broadband ¥30/month.
- 600M, minimum spend ¥98 (can combine up to 3 numbers to hit ¥68). Broadband ¥30/month.
- 1000M, minimum spend ¥138 (can combine up to 3 numbers to hit ¥108). Broadband ¥30/month.
-
Standalone Broadband
- 1000M, ¥480/year; reverts to ¥120/month in the second year. You can re-apply for the annual plan before it expires, but seemed too troublesome for me so I passed.
-
Installation Fees
- ¥100 IPTV
- ¥180 Wi-Fi Optical Modem + Router + Setup fee/year (need to contact customer support to cancel in year 2)
- ¥130 Bill credit rebate
I went with the 300M plan:
- Year 1: ¥150 installation + ¥360 broadband/year + ¥10 SIM fee/month (¥630/year total)
- Year 2: ¥10 SIM fee/month + ¥30 broadband/month (¥480/year total)
