Taken at an ancient tomb in Luoyang. So beautiful—the murals back then were already this gorgeous. The ancients truly possessed boundless wisdom.

My absolute favorites are Japanese regular Draft Cola & Hong Kong Lemon Coke. The prices on the mainland are wild—regular Draft Cola even goes up to 10 RMB a can! Also, I have no clue which “genius” invented sugar-free diet Coke… If you’re drinking Coke with zero sugar, can you even call that drinking Coke????

Live each day well, cherish the present moment, stay healthy, and do what you love—live your own unique life… When terrible things happen, think about how they might just offer an unexpected experience. It’s not so terrible, is it?

Bello! Despicable Me 4 pop-up at Parc Central in Guangzhou~

Taken at GAGA in Guangzhou Star World. Every time I go for a run 🏃🏻‍♀️, I jog along the river right past here—it’s become quite a familiar mall stop~

Snapped this during my run on July 6 🏃🏻‍♀️. During the Republic of China era, this river separated Henan and Hebei—the dividing line between rich and poor. BUT NOW, it’s the dividing line between storm and calm. The Cantonese saying “埋街食井水” (coming ashore to drink well water) originally came from the Tanka boat people settling on land, though the phrase means something quite different nowadays~~ This is also the birthplace of the ultra-wealthy “Thirteen Factories” from the Qing Dynasty.

Taken at Ole’ Supermarket in Guangzhou! This place is way pricier than Sam’s Club & Costco—no wonder Hong Kong shoppers haven’t swarmed it yet ~~~ It’s lychee season, BUT in 2024, they’ve gotten way too expensive to afford~~~
